February is all about love and romance, so this month's Paper Pumpkin Craft Kit features delightful little cellophane bags to decorate and fill with candy for your favorite valentines! This month's project, Filled With Love, is a super easy and super quick craft.
Paper Pumpkin is a monthly craft kit subscription box that costs under $20 and is filled with high quality supplies from Stampin' Up, the parent company of Paper Pumpkin. I've now created about six different months of their projects and I continue to be impressed and pleased with everything that comes in the package.
Thankfully, each one comes with an instructional pamphlet that shows me step by step how to complete the project. There are even online videos if you prefer to watch someone create the monthly craft. For highly creative people, you can toss instructions to the wind and just have fun!February's craft kit comes with a stamp set, red stamping ink, 24 cellophane bags, pink/gold baker's twine, adhesive buttons, 24 gold clips, and lots of punch-out die-cuts of hearts, banners and tags. You'll also need a bag of candies on hand to fill the gift bags before you clip them closed.
Since I don't have candy on hand right now, I made my bags without the candy but I can easily add it after I grocery shop because the bags close at the top with the gold clips, making it simple to fill them later.
I first stamped the heart die-cuts with the red ink and included stamps, which feature different valentine-themed sayings, as well as heart shape stamps. It's easier to do all the stamping first so the ink can dry and I can wash the stray ink off my hands before I touch the other papers.
After stamping, it's simply punching out the banners to adhere them to the hearts, then assembling the little treat bags with the heart and tag clipped at the top, with a little pink bow around the clip. It looks like I spent a long time, but seriously it took me less than a minute to create each one. Another fabulous craft project that makes me smile!
