Bully Bean Children's Book Review

Disclosure: I received this book at no charge in exchange for my honest review.
October is Bullying Prevention Month! As a retired childcare provider, I can attest that bullying starts very young. As a parent of three children who are all grown now, I have had to deal with the issue of bullying close to home. This brand new hardcover children's book Bully Bean by Thomas Weck and Peter Weck, is a wonderful way to teach children to turn a bully into a friend.
The story begins in Beandom, a usually happy place where Lima Bear lives with his friends. Whenever big Bully Bean comes around, he makes fun of everyone and plays mean tricks on them. Since Lima Bear is a very nice bean, he is often bullied by Bully Bean. Then one day Bully Bean gets stuck and rather than tease him about it, Lima Bear runs off to get the other beans to help Bully Bean out. Bully Bean humbly admits he has been mean and he learns to stop bullying others.
The gorgeous illustrations by Len DiSalvo help to draw children into this story of courage, kindness, and tolerance. Aimed at ages 4-8, Bully Bean is engaging and honest. This book is just one of the stories in the Lima Bear Stories series so collect them all. This book would be a fabulous gift for your child's teacher!
