Let's enjoy a stroll down memory lane; maybe a family vacation or a wonderful food from your childhood. Truly the options are endless!
Can you remember the first horror film you ever watched? Mine was "Carrie" starring Sissy Spacek. I remember sitting on the floor of our family room, huddled up next to the couch near the corner of this huge console television, eyes glued to the screen. The story was simply beyond any nightmare I'd ever dreamed and I was totally hooked on horror films after seeing it. If you've ever seen the ending scene in the movie (no spoilers from me), you can probably imagine how scary it must have been for a young girl. The movie pales in comparison to today's horror films but it was quite an experience back then. Have you seen "Carrie" circa 1976? What was your first horror flick?

  1. Yes, I've seen Carrie. I remember seeing The Shining after I had read the book. I still love Jack to this day. Gotta love crazy!

  2. I read the book, Carrie, a long time ago, but never seen the whole movie. My first scary movie was The Shining. It's still scary.

  3. I have loved horror movies since I was a kid. My first were the really old classics--"The Leech Woman" "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" "The Wolfman"

  4. WGN had a show called Creature Feature and it came on, on Saturday nights. They played old films like The Creature from the Black Lagoon. I think the first horror film was The Werewolf.
