Bread Machine Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread #Recipe

Bread Machine Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread
an original Lisa Weidknecht recipe

Disclosure: I received product at no charge in exchange for my honest review.
I received several packages of the new Quaker Perfect Portions Oatmeal to try. I personally love eating oatmeal for breakfast, but my husband won't eat it. Since oatmeal is such a heart-healthy food, I created some delicious bread that he loves!
What you'll need:
- 2/3 cup Quaker Perfect Portions Cinnamon Oatmeal
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 1/3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
Using your bread machine, add ingredients in this order - yeast, warm water, Quaker Perfect Portions Cinnamon Oatmeal, flour, sugar, salt, butter. Set your bread machine to basic white bread for a 1.5 pound loaf. Turn it on and walk away.
When the bread is finished baking, use oven mitts to remove the bread pan from the machine and set aside to cool for 15 minutes.
Using oven mitts, turn the bread pan upside down to release it from the pan and allow the bread to cool 15 more minutes on a wire rack or bread board.
Then you can either tear apart the bread or slice the bread to enjoy it. We usually slice bread, but I decided to tear this one up along the breaks in the top of the bread. It's delicious by itself, with a bit of butter, or with a bit of fruit spread. My family (including my husband) ate the entire loaf in two days!

  1. This sounds absolutely wonderful. I have one question, do you use regular flour or bread flour?

  2. Any idea how to make this without using the oatmeal mix? How much oats, etc? Sounds tasty.

    1. 2/3 cup Quaker Perfect Portions Cinnamon Oatmeal or any quick oats brand would work.
