Good People Everywhere by Lynea Gillen - Review

Good People Everywhere is a children's picture book written by Lynea Gillen and illustrated by Kristina Swarner. Created for ages 3 and up, this book helps children become aware of all of the people in the world around them that do good things for others. From the teacher who teaches math, to the big sister who watches her little brother, to the farmer who plants food seeds, to the young student who helps a friend with a hurt knee, there are good people everywhere. In a world where children often live in fear of the "big bad boogey-man" this book is a refreshing look at all of the ways we can help each other and live in peace.
This award-winning storybook encourages children to think of ways they can help others and the back of the book even has suggestions on ways to do things for others. I love this book and have read it several times to my preschoolers. The early childhood years are an important time to instill the value of doing good things for others because preschoolers are so focused on "me, me, me" and "mine" that they need gentle guidance to see outside their own wants. The book is written in simple understandable language and the illustrations are beautiful and engaging. It's a wonderful addition to our library!
You can find out more about this book at ThreePebblePress.com and even find more activities on the website for home or school. Purchase Good People Everywhere at the link below!

Array {New Game} - Review

There are some great new games available this holiday season and Funnybone Toys is introducing three brainy card games that your family will love. I received the game Array and these are no ordinary cards. The pieces are beautiful hues, colors, and play patterns of museum quality. A very cool game box to leave laying on the coffee table!
Designed for play by ages 8 to adult, this challenging game encourages fun, laughter, conversation, and a bit of strategy. My husband and one of my teenage sons sat down to figure out the rules of the game and give it a try. They ended up playing for hours.
Players race to place their color cards down in connecting patterns more quickly than the others. The game has a few cards in the mix to "slam" your opponents with extra points or make them draw extra cards that adds an element of surprise and playful barbarity. Few things are as fun as a evening where the teenager beats the dad at a game.
Your family will love this game. It's a perfect Christmas gift for your brainy kids and teens that will pull them away from their electronics and get them face to face with their family members. You can purchase Array at www.funnybonetoys.com and check out the other two museum-quality games called Cubu and Spectrix. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter, then enter to win Array below!

Tale of the Tooth Fairy Storybook Set - Review

Your young child is growing very fast and soon their first teeth will fall out. This darling storybook and fairy plush doll set tells the story of how a tooth fairy helps children with this important event that shows they are growing up to be a big kid.
The storybook set includes a beautiful gift box that ties on the side with a ribbon, a boy or girl elf plush doll, and a hardback picture book "The Tale Of The Tooth Fairy" written by Brian Ledig and Illustrated by MK Fleming.
The gift box is a wonderful keepsake itself and the inside looks like a little fairy house. It can sit upright so that your child can act out the story of the tooth fairy as you read to them. The book and fairy fit flat inside so it's the perfect place to keep the set together so your child can treasure it always.
The tooth fairy plush doll is nine inches tall and comes with sparkling fairy wings and a little pouch for the tooth that falls from their own mouth. No more struggling to get under a sleeping child's pillow!
The story is very sweet and the illustrations are beautiful. This storybook set is sure to be a favorite of all children. There is even a place in the back of the book to record a child's tooth losses over the years. The pages are a high-quality, glossy stock that will last through many readings.
This is a fabulous gift idea for birthdays, holidays, or that special day when the first wiggly tooth is discovered. Parents and grandparents will want one for every child in the family! My preschoolers absolutely love it and they keep asking me for another reading of the book. It's so sweet to hear them retelling the story to each other too.
Visit StoryBookSet.com to purchase the Tale of the Tooth Fairy Storybook Set for only $34.95 and be sure to like them on Facebook too.

Three Winners - iolo System Mechanic Software - Review

I've had iolo System Mechanic software on my computer for a year now. I just renewed for another three years. I love what this software does for my computer! It runs in the background, constantly (quietly) monitoring the health and security of my system. It cleans up junk files that can slow down my system. The desktop icon shows me real-time information. System Mechanic will diagnose and fix over 30,000 PC problems and the program uses live updates to ensure I'm protected. I can also go into the software at anytime to view the problems and with the click of a button, I can fix problems and speed up my computer. It realigns program files for me, resolves registry problems, and the privacy cleaner wipes my internet and chat history. One of my favorite features is the screen that suggests potentially unwanted programs that have attached to my startup processes, so I can decide whether or not to release it from startup, decreasing the time it takes my computer to start each morning. It has made a huge difference in the way my computer operates and I highly recommend System Mechanic!
Disclosure: I received this product at no charge in exchange for my honest review.

The biggest challenge dieters face is portion control and the EatSmart Scale has really come in handy for me in the past month as I've dieted. I've lost 16 pounds in the last month and having the EatSmart Scale in my kitchen has been a very handy and helpful tool.
It's a very sleek design and looks great on my countertop. It only measures 8"x6" so it barely takes up any room and I can easily slip it into a kitchen drawer if I want. On the bottom of the scale there are little rubber feet, so it doesn't slide around while I'm using it. I even used it a couple times to weigh my outgoing letters. The scale is very accurate and precise to 0.05 ounces/1 gram. It's a great kitchen scale and sells for a very affordable price!

WideNeck Diet Day 30 - Menu and Musings

As the end of month one draws to a close, I'm thrilled that I lost 16 pounds in the first month. I've got a long way to go to reach my goal weight, but since it's been successful so far I'm going to continue. This month, I'll be adding some berries, nuts and seeds to my diet. I've also managed to wean myself off the one diet soda a day, leaving me drinking water and coffee only.

Breakfast - Ham slices (on the run).

Lunch - Turkey dogs and Cheese. Yeah, I know, but I had a craving.

Dinner - Spaghetti Soup (ground beef, tomato sauce, spices, no noodles) topped with cheddar cheese, plus salad with lettuce, tomato, and calorie-free italian dressing.

Drinks - Coffee, water.

Exercise - 40 counter pushups, 20 chair squats.
