Vinyl Disorder Wall Quotes - Review and Giveaway

This is my scrapbook room. It's the smallest bedroom in this house but it's perfect for my scrapbooking hobby. I've only had the room for a little while, so the walls are pretty bare except for a few photos. I didn't want to make any major changes because we'll be moving next spring. A vinyl wall quote from Vinyl Disorder was the perfect solution!

To the left of my desk is a window and a table where I keep my die cuts and cutter. The wall above the table is where my new wall quote will be installed. I was hoping for a really quick and easy installation, especially after working eleven hours today.

The wall quote is about three feet wide and says, "My husband lets me have all the scrapbooking supplies I can hide" and although he laughed when he saw it, it's really the truth! I could probably stop buying scrapbook supplies and not need to buy anything else for about five years. The vinyl wall quote is simply sticky vinyl letters in between a backing and a front sheet.

Rather than follow the directions provided by Vinyl Disorder, I decided I'd rather work with smaller pieces, so I cut the quote into smaller pieces but left edges like an easy puzzle so I could get the same intended result. If you look closely at the photo above, you can see those words are actually three separate pieces.

I peeled the backing off each small piece then stuck each to the wall, making sure my "puzzle pieces" fit each other. The backing is pretty easy to pull off and I found that working from a corner worked best, angling the backing down as I peeled it from the letters.

Once all the pieces were stuck to the wall, I rubbed on the front sheet so the letters would stick to the wall as I peeled it off the letters. Again, I worked at an angle, making sure to go slow enough that I could press down any edge that tried to come up as I peeled the paper.

The whole job went a lot faster and easier than I anticipated. I was glad I cut the pieces in the beginning because the smaller pieces were easier than the larger pieces once part of the front sheet was mostly off the wall. After I peeled the front sheet off all the entire wall quote, I used my thumb with some light pressure to make sure it was against the wall. My walls aren't smooth, so I wanted to make sure it sealed against the texture.

I'm completely thrilled with it. It looks like it's painted right on the wall. The whole job took me only 40 minutes and it looks great! I even peeled off one letter and stuck it back on, just to see how easily it would come off in the spring when we put the house up for sale. Again, easier than I assumed.
