Beyond Sugar Shock by Connie Bennett

My husband has often said that if we tried to get sugar approved by the FDA it would be labeled as an addictive drug. Connie Bennett has written Beyond Sugar Shock, the 6 Week Plan to Break Free of Your Sugar Addiction and Get Slimmer, Sexier, and Sweeter in an attempt to help people create a healthier way of living.
Written in an entertaining way, Beyond Sugar Shock approaches this very serious subject in a straightforward voice. From the Sugar Shock Quiz, readers can find out how hooked they are on sweets and carbs. Did you know sugar can kill you? Connie Bennett spends an entire chapter explaining the health problems that can result from too much sugar. Then she lays out a six week plan that can help you and your family become free of sugar addiction, including meal plans, recipes, suggested supplements to help curb sugar cravings, and lots of resources. I especially like how it is set up sort of like a workbook, with places throughout the book to write down my own thoughts. I found the book funny and honest and will hopefully be able to use her tips and techniques to reduce my sugar intake.
Disclosure: I received this book at no charge in exchange for my honest review.

  9. Lisa,

Thanks so very much for doing your wonderful review on your blog of my book, Beyond Sugar Shock.

    Much appreciated!

I do hope I'll have a chance to help many of your fans.

I know how tough it can be to break free of a sugar addiction, and my goal is to make it easy for people to release their dangerous habit.

I love the way people on your blog admitted what sweets they'd been having. What a wonderful way to start their sweet adventure to cutting out or cutting back on sweets.

    Thanks again so much.
