Sylvania Automobile Light Solutions - Review and Giveaway

It feels so good to have two vehicles that are paid off. Having older vehicles means the money is spent on maintenance and repairs. I'm very fortunate that my husband can pretty much fix or build anything. I'm always excited to do a review that means we get to cross off an item on the "honey do" list. Hint: Think Father's Day gift!
Sylvania has a wide variety of automobile lighting solutions. Johnny's Dodge Stealth is an older model, a 1992, so he got the opportunity to figure out how to remove and replace the entire headlight bulb. The others were definitely looking their age and needed to be replaced. The installation of the new Sylvania SilverStar Sealed Beams only took him about twenty minutes. Later in the evening, he turned the headlights on and the new ones are so much brighter!
His Dodge Dakota is a 1997, so Sylvania sent us the SilverStar Ultra Capsule Bulbs for the truck lighting makeover. This was an absolutely simple installation of pulling out the old one and popping in the new one. It literally took him less than a minute.
The finishing touch on the truck was the Sylvania Headlight Restoration Kit. This kit won the Popular Mechanics Editors' Choice Award! It comes with easy step by step instructions and includes all this:
  • 1 oz. Surface Activator
  • 1/2 oz. Clarifying Compound
  • 1 oz. UV Block Clear Coat
  • Waterproof Premium Sandpaper (400, 1000 & 2000 grit)
  • Applicator and Polish Cloths
  • Protective Tape
  • Vinyl Glove
As he was using the Headlight Restoration Kit, dusk started to set in. We were excited to be able to turn on the headlights on both vehicles. The Sylvania automotive lighting products made a HUGE difference. We are so impressed at the clarity and brightness of the headlights. These are wonderful lighting solutions!
Disclosure: I received these products at no charge in exchange for my honest review.

  21. I was carless for almost two years after a separation, with three kids, recently was given a 1997 Nissan Sentra from a lady that taught me to make jewelry. I am in the process of restoring it, and the other day looked at the headlights and wondered how in the world they get clean because nothing was working for me, well, this might be my answer, either it is new headlights or buying something like this, thanks!

  48. My 1994 F150 Ford Pick Up could use a headlight restoration dearly. There is such a haze on them that I can't see good at night but to replace them is unbelievably expensive. I just spent some time on Sylvania I was surprised to discover that they also make electric fireplaces and stoves. Last week 1saleaday had Sylvania video camcorders for $9 and I bought two of them. I had bought eight of them just before Christmas last year and they worked great so I decided to buy a couple to put up for this year. Sylvania has been around for years and it's a brand you can trust. Thanks for sharing this very useful review and giveaway with all of us :)
