National Geographic Kids Travel Books - Review and Giveaway

If you've ever taken a road trip with children, you know how important it is to keep them busy. Bored children become misbehaving children very quickly. National Geographic Kids has created two beautiful, full color books to entertain and educate kids for hours. The Ultimate US Road Trip Atlas is filled with maps, games, activities, photos, and interesting facts about all fifty states. Kids can discover cool things to do in each state, including roadside attractions like the UFO Museum in New Mexico, Fantasy Canyon in Utah, and the World's Largest Bicycle in Wisconsin. Your kids can read you the "Traffic Laws You Won't Believe" as you roll into each new state. The back of the book has puzzles and seek-n-finds, plus some games. If you are a homeschooler, this would be an excellent addition to your geography curriculum!
Did you know the National Kids to Parks Day is on May 19th? The National Geographic Kids National Parks Guide USA describes each of the parks in detail, with photos and fabulous information. Discover more about the land, the plants, and the animals. Tips on the best views in the parks lead you to breathtaking views. It will help you decide between an easy day of relaxing activities and an extreme day of challenging opportunities. This gorgeous full color book is an excellent resource for travelers who wish to get the most out of their road trips. These may be designed for kids, but I had so much fun reading through these and I'll definitely be using them both on our next road trip! You can purchase these and many other fabulous books at the National Geographic Kids Shop. You can follow them on Facebook and Twitter too!
Win a Road Warrior Prize Package!
One lucky Planet Weidknecht reader will win a Road Warrior Prize Package featuring a copy of The Ultimate U.S. Road Trip Atlas, a copy of National Parks Guide U.S.A., plus a stuffed Buddy Bison and a Buddy Bison t-shirt.
