Fire Destruction Update: Kitchen Items Requested

My husband's brother and his family (who are displaced by the Bastrop fires) have found a place to live until their house is rebuilt. I got an update from her. They are in immediate need of kitchen items. If you are local and can help, please email me at LisaWeidknecht@hotmail.com. If you are not local and wish to help, please use the donation button on the top left sidebar of my blog. God bless you all for helping and thank you so much!! I'm so very touched by how many of you have reached out to help my family. You amaze me.
Update from my sister in law:
We move into our temporary house tomorrow in Elgin. The kids will have plenty of room to run around and a tire swing to play on. The kids have been able to see the burnt house and they dealt with it pretty well. Some are eager to sift the ashes for little treasures. We feel so blessed that God let us all get out.

  2. Omg Lisa Im so sorry for your family's loss! I had 2 houses burn as a child within 2 months of each other so I have an idea of what they are feeling. Thank God everyone got out safely!! I hope things get better for them soon.

  7. My husband & I had our apartment burn down in college and it is definitely difficult to deal with. Is the Red Cross involved with helping the families? I don't know how they handle wide spread fires like this, but they gave us a lot of help when we had our fire.
I am not local (Nevada) but I do have some kitchen items I can send if you do not find any locally.
