Why I Love Residence Inn #travel

Disclosure: I received a gift card in exchange for my honest review.
This past weekend, I took a road trip with my husband to Irving, Texas, and I had the pleasure of staying in the Residence Inn. This one-bedroom suite "hotel room" was far from just a room. It was more like an apartment and I remarked several times over the weekend to my husband that I could live there comfortably. Just look at that beautiful, serene bedroom!
The room has distinct living areas - bedroom, bathroom, living room with desk area, kitchen, and dining area. The sofa in the living room opens up into a queen size bed if an extra bed is needed. There's also a coffee table and even an ottoman that tucks perfectly under the coffee table when not in use. Both the bedroom and living room have a tv with cable channels. There are plentiful electrical outlets and trashcans throughout the suite.
There are lots of great touches that make it feel more like home...shelves on the walls for my stuff, a coat hook by the door, even a key hook so I can find my keys in a hurry. The desk in my room faced the window and offered tons of surface area and even a built-in power strip for all my electronics. Residence Inn even offers free wifi!
Residence Inn is even pet-friendly! Buddy got to take his first-ever road trip and was immediately at home there. When we checked in, the front desk staff wanted to pet him and even gave him some dog treats that they keep behind the desk. There is a one-time pet cleaning fee, but it costs less than three nights in the kennel back home, and I'd rather have Buddy with me.
There is a full kitchen with full-size, stainless steel appliances...stove, fridge, and dishwasher. The sink even offers a disposal. There's a 12-cup coffee pot too! Inside the cabinets are dishes, silverware, glasses, and more. They even provide the dishwasher soap. There was a stash of coffee and popcorn too.
On the stove was a set of pots and pans and on the countertop was a utensil holder filled with cooking and serving utensils. There were kitchen washcloths available and a roll of paper towels under the sink. There is even a shopping list card that guests can fill out and give to the front desk so they can fill your fridge with food!
The decor in the room is simply gorgeous. I love the color theme and how it resonated through the entire apartment. Everything was made of high quality building materials like wood cabinets, tile floors, and granite counters. Seriously, I could live here!
The furniture is comfortable and high-quality. I love all the attention to detail in the suite. The suite is around 500sf in size, so it's plenty of room even with an 85-pound dog. I've stayed in a few ritzy five-star hotels before, but this Residence Inn suite is nicer and more comfortable than any of them. I would easily give it five stars.
The bathroom vanity area was very roomy, with more shelves for my things, lots of drawers, great lighting, and again created from high quality building materials. Residence Inn provides shampoo, conditioner, face soap, bath soap, facial tissues, and super fluffy cotton towels. Every inch of every room was also impeccably clean.
The tub/shower and toilet are in a separate room, next to the vanity area. The water pressure in the shower is absolutely perfect. Of course, they also offer maid service too. It also comes with FREE hot breakfast in the restaurant area near the lobby, which also features a gathering area of couches and a television. A couple times a week, they sponsor a mixer too so you can meet other guests. My husband and I are so impressed with Residence Inn!
This hotel also has an indoor swimming pool, a whirlpool, fitness machines, and an outdoor basketball court. The front desk staff is some of the best in the business - genuine, professional, friendly, and helpful. Best of all, the rate for my gorgeous, comfortable, one-bedroom suite was only $129 per night!

  2. As a bonus most locations have a "board room" you can use FREE and it sea to about 8-12 people. Great if you need a quick meeting space while traveling. some even have conference rooms to rent WITH an attached room ☺️ One of my go to places when doing small trainings, professional and always clean!
