Music and Arts Gifts of Music - Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I received product at no charge in exchange for my honest review.
Give this gift of music this holiday season! Not just any old cd or a tiny music player, give someone the gift of creating music! Music and Arts is the largest retail chain of band and orchestra instruments. They are also the nation’s largest provider of lessons in the country. I was overwhelmed with excitement when I was offered the opportunity to try a new instrument.
Some forty years ago, my dad brought my mom an old piano and I loved to listen to my mother play, especially the Christmas music. By the time I was in third grade, she tired of hearing me bang out terrible tunes and enrolled me in piano lessons. Poor Mr. Eggers. He was so patient, but I wasn't. I wanted to play like my mother, without having to practice. Eventually he and I both gave up on me.
This absolutely gorgeous Yamaha keyboard from Music and Arts has inspired me to learn again. I've already started practicing (yes, really, mom) and I am actually learning to read music with the fabulous John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course with four books and learning cds that I also received. Maybe by next Christmas I'll be able to play the music from The Hobbit!
This Yamaha keyboard is a top quality instrument and the customer service at Music and Arts is fantastic. All three of my children are very musically-inclined and I believe that music is a gift that we all have inside of us. Music is one of the first things that humans respond to, even in utero, and it's something that can have profound effect on our lives, our attitudes, and our emotions. Imagine the joy on your child's face when they open a gift on Christmas morning to find a new flute, a ukulele, or even a set of drums!
