Decorating With White - Country Living - Book Review

Disclosure: I received a copy of Decorating With White at no charge in exchange for my honest review. Affiliate links included.
For years I've been afraid to decorate with white. With three teenagers, several pets, and large numbers of preschoolers attending my home daycare, I was certain anything white wouldn't last long. Now that I'm retired from daycare and my youngest are headed off to college this year, I will have free decorating reign at my new "empty nest" home. We're moving the end of this month, so I've been pouring over this book for fabulous ideas.
The Country Living Decorating with White book is a gorgeous hardbound book with huge full color glossy pages. Over 150 pages demonstrate using white in every room of a house, plus lots of ways to accent it. Since my new kitchen already has white appliances, I may go for the "white" decor in that room.
I loved the chapter on White and Wood because I tend to use a lot of earth tones in my decor and furniture, so that I can use different pops of color for different seasons. Thinking back, I don't think I've ever focused on white as that color pop, so it will be fun to try it and share it with you!
Especially helpful are the design tips that accompany every photo. Decorating with White makes it so easy to get the right look and balance. Reading through this book is like stepping into a beautiful design store (without the traffic, parking, and pushy salespeople). It would be a beautiful gift and the book will look amazing on any coffee table!
