  10. I love having friends over for randomly themed gatherings, so I tend to switch up the food a lot. We do like going out and getting pretzel bread at a local place. Making food, we stick to cheese balls or salami roll-ups. that kind of thing.

  12. If it a "we're hanging out" visit then we usually make up sushi- we set up in the kitchen and eat as we make up the rolls. If it's a sit down and eat a nice meal visit then we tend to make risotto with whatever vegetables we have around the house or we make up a big pot of gumbo.

  25. Grilling! My husband makes fantastic burgers, and I make a pretty kick-butt potato salad. :) During the fall and winter, we like to do appetizer nights in front of the "big game" with friends!

  32. I make soda cake, where I use diet soda in a cake mix instead of oil and eggs. Use cool whip and top with berries, it's quick and easy.

  45. I bring out tortilla chips with salsa, cheese and crackers and some steamed dumplings with dipping sauce. For the main dish I try to research recipes and tryout a recipe until I like it enough to serve to guests

  56. I have two. Black eye pea salad in the summer and jumbo lasagna shells.
    mix cooked 1/2 & 1/2 ground beef, ground turkey with spinach, zucchini, yellow squash , pasta sauce and italian cheese blend. put into cooked jumbo pasta shells top with pasta source and cheese put in oven. done
