Abel's Field - Movie Review

I often complain that there are not many family-friendly movies for teenagers. Abel's Field is the perfect family film. Featuring Kevin Sorbo and Samuel Davis, this movie will touch your heart and remind viewers that heroes are not always the people who are in the limelight. We watched this together and followed along with the struggles of a high school senior named Seth McArdle, who is the sole provider for his little sisters while attempting to navigate bullying at school. When he stands up for himself, he faces the punishment of working for Abel, the groundskeeper of the football field. Seth and Abel form a sort of brotherly relationship that is plagued by darkness, uncertainty, and a slowly developing trust. The story is a wonderful message of learning to lean on yourself, your friends, and God. I loved this movie!
