Cook's Delight Low Sodium Soup Base - Recipe and Review

My low-carb diet has been a grand success and eating healthier has become an important part of this lifestyle change for me. Cook's Delight Low Sodium Chicken Base is a great addition to my dinner creations. It contains no MSG, no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial ingredients, no artificial colors, and no chemical preservatives. It is also gluten-free and low in sodium. Its main ingredient is USDA inspected roasted chicken meat. This one-pound container will also make 5 1/2 gallons of chicken broth/stock.
Dinner would be a new creation! I pulled out my little slow-cooker and cut up four boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I tossed them in the slow-cooker and added three cups of water and three teaspoons of Cook's Delight Low Sodium Chicken Base.
I turned the slow-cooker on high and stirred the Cook's Delight Low Sodium Soup Base into the water until it turned a creamy light yellow color. Then I covered the slow-cooker for two hours and left it alone.
After two hours, I uncovered it and stirred in eight ounces of frozen mixed vegetables, then covered it again, leaving it to cook on high for another two hours. I came back and added a bit of pepper and turned it to low for one more hour.
Dinner came out wonderfully delicious. Even my husband gave me a thumbs-up. Cook's Delight Low Sodium Chicken Soup Base is an easy way to create soups and stews. I like knowing I'm feeding my family healthy foods! They have a whole line of gourmet soup bases, gravy mixes and flavor concentrates.
