My Wonderful Walls - Review and Giveaway

Every winter, I go through the same thing. I fight the urge to totally remodel the inside of my house. I think part of it is the dreariness of winter and the sameness of the leafless trees. Because the outside world appears to be slumbering, I have a need to spice up my indoor world. Luckily for me, I cannot afford a total remodel. I'm sure my husband is happy too because he usually ends up doing the bulk of the work while I supervise. But I'm really good at supervising!

This is the entryway wall. It probably doesn't look much like yours because I run a home daycare here during the day. Still, I'm bored with it. Time to take it all down and start over with a blank canvas. What a convenient time to find out about My Wonderful Walls!

I took all the stuff off my wall and washed the wall with a mixture of warm water and a bit of dish-soap to remove all the dust and little finger oils. This step was recommended in the directions, if I wasn't painting a fresh coat. Me? Easier is better. I washed the entire wall in less than 15 minutes.

The Forest Friends Wall Sticker Kit is more than just a sticker kit; that's such an understatement. These amazing stickers are large FABRIC stickers. All I had to do was peel them off the backing paper and stick them to the wall. They come easily off the paper with no tearing. They adhere easily to the wall, but can also be pulled off and repositioned. There were several pieces I moved around as I decided how my scene should look.

I pressed each of the 83 wall stickers carefully, firmly applying pressure to help it all stick to my textured wall. I certainly don't want the pieces peeling off and hanging loose. The pieces did not stretch out even when I pulled them off completely to move them. They leave no residue on the wall either. In less than an hour, I had this beautiful forest scene on my wall:

My Wonderful Walls has a marvelous product! This was so easy and the quality of manufacturing is just awesome. It looks like I painted this on the wall. (They also have wall stencils for people who prefer to paint.) Every one of my daycare parents thought it was painted on the wall.

The pieces can be layered for a more three-dimensional look. I love the variations in the fabric to give it more depth. The colors are bright and realistic, giving it a fresh outdoorsy look. The textured feel of the pieces makes you want to reach out and touch it; and knowing that it's firmly adhered to the wall gives me comfort that my daycare kids won't be peeling it off when they explore.

From the little bumblebee to the bright warm sun, each piece is carefully crafted and has personality. The handmade paper look is charming! The leaf pieces come separate from the tree, so it could even be made to look like the wind is blowing a certain direction if desired.

I used a bit of layering to hind my red fox behind a flower and some grass. I'm just absolutely thrilled with the results! The kids were equally impressed as were their parents. I had so much fun decided where to put each part of the wall sticker set because the combinations are endless.

The little sign that comes with the kit is customized with whatever name you request when you place your order. The little inchworm is just adorable and I placed him climbing up the sign. Can you spot the little bunny hiding from the fox in the photo below?

I highly recommend My Wonderful Walls if you're looking for a fast and affordable way to remodel a room. There are LOTS of different themes to choose from and there is literally something for every taste. My kids are just captivated by the Forest Friends kit! (It's holding up well to their curious little fingers.) There are also   beautiful canvas wall murals available. The color can be adjusted to your preferences, as well!
